Valentine's Day Surprise.

Happy Valentine's Day, y'all!!  I'm so excited to share my special VDay surprise that I arranged for Donny.  But first, you should go check out my post on Neely's blog!  In honor of the holiday, I'm talking about how blogging is directly responsible for me meeting my husband.  :)  (Oh, and there may be a little valentine for one of you...).

This year is our first Valentine's Day not only as a married couple, but also the first time we've spent the day together.  (Last year, if you'll recall, I spent VDay stuck in the air-travel day from hades...)  So, this year, I've put together a little scavenger hunt surprise for my boo thanks to some inspiration from pinterest!  (Seriously, I'm so thankful for pinterest because I am NOT a creative girl. But I can at least fake it pretty decently now.)

Donny always leaves for work and gets home before I do. So I arranged all the clues and gifts this morning after he left.  This way, he'll have a big surprise waiting for him when he arrives home!  I had a card on the door from the garage to our house so before he even walked in, he knew he had a job to do.  :)

All in all, I made four clues-- they took him to different spots in our house where there was a little gift waiting in each one (a Texas Born & Raised t-shirt, a Guinness, his fave Little Debbie cakes, etc.)....

Always good to use some inside jokes on the clues when you can...

The last clue led him to his recliner, where I put his main gift in the cabinet beside it.

I had his favorite photo from our wedding mounted so he can display it.  It turned out so great.

I had SO much fun making this scavenger hunt and coming up with gift ideas and clues!  The clues were definitely the hardest part, but it was so worth it.  I know he'll be surprised, and I can't wait to see his response.  :)

Anybody else have any creative ideas that I can steal use next time?
