This weekend, I...
...waited for it to snow. We were supposed to get piles and piles of snow beginning on Thursday afternoon/evening.
Instead, we got a flood.
FINALLY around 10pm on Thursday night, it started to snow! So, Donny and I went out and played in it for a bit. And thank goodness we did.
Because by the time I got up on Friday morning, it was almost all gone! Or, rather, we didn't get very much at all. Boo. So, I had to go to court, where I spent what felt like an eternity trying to resolve my three cases.

... I watched A LOT of the Barrett-Jackson auto auctions. Donny is a big classic car lover, so this was on our TV all weekend long. In a possibly related note, I managed to finish one book and get almost halfway through another this weekend... :)

... I also read a lot on the kindle this weekend, since I was able to get a digital copy of the book I wanted from the library long before I made it to the top of the queue for the paper version. I must say that I don't love it nearly as much as real books, although it is very convenient.
... I went from one extreme to the other with my food decisions.
... And I became an aunt for the first time!! Donny's stepsister had a baby girl on Sunday, and I can't wait to meet little miss Layla next month! (Now that I think about it, he has other nieces and nephews, so I guess this isn't my first niece/nephew, but it's the first one that I've actually known the parent when they had the baby, so I'm counting it as the first.)
Hope you all had a wonderful weekend! :)

I've been wondering if Zero Dark Thirty was worth the hype!
ReplyDeleteLooks like you had a great weekend!
By the way, what books are you reading?
I want to see Zero Dark Thirty, but the timing didn't work out with our schedule yesterday so we saw Silver Linings Playbook (in which everybody said it was amazing but I was underwhelmed).
